Admission to different courses in the college
is strictly done on merit basis. Students seeking admission
in the college are required to fill up the application forms
available from the office and to submit the filled up forms
as per norms laid down by the college authority. A cut-off mark
is fixed for each department for direct admission. After through
counselling, a candidate with his/ her guardian is recommended
for admission by the subject teachers in general and then sent
to the Principal for permission to take admission in the college.
Apart from direct admission, those students acquiring marks
which satisfy the respective admission norms of each departement
feature in a merit list published by the departments to fill
up the vacant seats. The candidates are then required to fill
up the admission forms to take admission in the college after
final approval for admission. The college has earmarked a few
seats as sports quota for those students who rank in different
sports activities in District/National level. They are given
admission directly on the recomendation of the Sports and Games
Committee to encourage their activity towards the same.
Date and time for admission are strictly adhered to. In matters
of admission the decision of the Admission Board is final. |

Madhyamik Examination as a proof of age.

Institution last attended.
4. Two recent passport size B/W photographs of the student.
5. Original and attested copy of S.C. / S.T. certificate from
the appropriate authority in case of S.C./S.T. students. |
| 1. SURABALA GHOSH PRIZE : |
| Prof. Bipin Krishna Ghosh donated a sum
of Rs. 1000/- for the creation of ‘Surabala Ghosh Prize’,
after the name of his revered mother. This prize will be awarded
annually to the girl student securing the highest marks amongst
the girl students of the college at the final B.A. General Examination
of the Calcutta University. |
| 2. TWO STIPENDS FOR B. Sc. AND B. A. STUDENTS
: |
| Sri Pulin Behari Banerjee has created two
stipends, each in memory of his revered father Late Natabar
Banerjee. The stipends are to be awarded monthly to the students
securing highest percentage of marks among the successful candidates
of the college in the B. A. and B. Sc. Examination and continuing
studies in this college. |
| 3. TARULATA SMRITI SCHOLARSHIP : |
| Dr. Shyamal Kumar Sengupta, the retired
Reader in Bengali of this college, donated a sum of Rs. 10,000/-
for the creation of ‘Tarulata Smriti Scholarship’
after the name of his revered mother. A scholarship of Rs. 500/-
will be awarded annually from the accumulated interest to the
best student of the college at the B. A. Part II Honours examination
in Bengali of the Calcutta University. |
| 4. JATINDRA SMRITI PURASKAR AND NILIMA SMRITI
PURASKAR : |
| Prof. Anil Krishna Mandal, the retired professor
in Commerce of the college, donated a sum of Rs. 20,000/- for
creation of two scholarships in the name of “Jatindra
Smriti Puraskar” and “Nilima Smriti Puraskar”
in the sacred memory of his late beloved father and mother-in-law
respectively. Two scholarships of Rs. 500/- each will be awarded
annually from the accumulated interest to the best male student
and best female student of the college at the B. Com. Part II
Honours examination in Commerce of the Calcutta University. |

| Prof. Sudeb Chandra Das, the retired Prof.
in Physics of this college, donated a sum of 15,000/- for the
creation of “Akrur Mohan Smriti Puraskar”. Two scholarships
of Rs. 400/- each will be awarded annually from the accumulated
interest to the best student of the college at the B. Sc. Part
II Honours examination in Physics and Mathematics of the Calcutta
University. |
