Bi-monthly meeting of all departments are held
to evaluate the progress of the respective departments and thereafter
targets are set if there remains any unachieved areas.
Counselling Sessions : We have regular counselling
sessions of students – either in academic or in personal matters.
Counselling is done both by the departmental faculty membersas well
as the members of the counselling cell.
Feedback : The institution has a mechanism to seek
feedback from its students as well as from its staff (both teaching
and non-teaching).
Seminar Room : There is a well-equipped seminar room
in the college premises where seminars are held. Seminars on current,
relevant topics are held almost every week. Students are regularly
participating in the seminars on almost every Tuesday under the able
guidance of the staff of the college. In the session 2004-2005, a
large no. of seminars were organised by the different departments.
U. G. C. Seminars on the “Impact of globalisation” on
Indian Economy and “Terrorism and Violence in India—Dimension
and Possible solutions” were held most successfully on 16th
March 2002 and 17/18th March, 2004 respectively in our college. Another
U. G. C. Seminar will be held in the month of July, 2006 on Educational
Transformation : A Moral Revolution.
Educational Tour : Educational tours, if properly
planned and guided, are supplement to the book-based knowledge. They
get the “single fair double journey” benefit from the
Indian Railway through the college. The college subsidises students'
journey to some extent. All the departmental heads are given the responsibilities
to conduct such tours for their own departments. In addition, a general
excursion of boys and girls are held separately every year under the
supervision of the staff of the college.
